The Best Restaurants in the UK

The United Kingdom is small compared to most places, but that doesn’t mean it’s short of fantastic places to eat. In fact, you’ll probably have some of the best meals ever here! This post will fill you in on some of the best restaurants in the UK, so you can go on the hunt for the highest quality food:

The Fat Duck, Berkshire

The Fat Duck in Berkshire has an amazing 3 Michelin Stars, thanks to owner Heston Blumenthal. Guests always feel welcome here, and the staff are guaranteed to exceed your expectations. The wine menu is simply fantastic, so wine fanatics will love it here. I recommend going for the 14 course taster menu to try a bit of everything.

Beirut Nights, London

If you enjoy Mediterranean food, you’ll love this place. There’s a dish here to suit everybody, from Lebanese delicacies to milkshakes. I’d say it’s in the running to be the best Lebanese restaurant in London. It has many 5 star reviews online, which will prove what a great place it is to eat.

The Wayfarer, Stone

The Wayfarer has a gorgeously rustic decor – it’s a treat simply being sat there waiting for your food! The dishes are all perfectly presented, and taste amazing. Even the pork and mashed potato, which sounds pretty simple, is very special. There’s a range of cocktails to choose from, and even mocktails if you’re driving. If you’re in the area, I can’t recommend this place enough!

Clos Maggiore, London

Found in the gorgeous Covent Garden, this restaurant is warm and intimate. It’s perfect for a business lunch or even a birthday meal. They’ve recently won the Wine Spectator Grand Award, so make sure you enjoy a glass from their extensive range. The staff really care about customers, but they do so without annoying you throughout your meal. A great time without a doubt!

Upstairs at the Grill, Cheshire

If you love steak, as I’m sure most of us do, this is the restaurant to visit. You’ll have the best steak you’ve ever tasted; I highly recommend the rib eye. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, so if you don’t know what to have they’ll give you great advice. You can’t beat the outstanding service. You’ll probably even enjoy an enlightening lesson about where your steak comes from and the difference between them.

Aumbry, Manchester

Found in a converted cottage in Prestwich village, you’ll love this intimate dining experience. The experience overall is fantastic, with attentive staff, and an informal atmosphere. You could call it a quirky restaurant, with fab food presented in a gorgeous way.

Carters, Birmingham

A modern British restaurant located in Birmingham; Carters uses only free range meat with seasonal ingredients. The food is interesting, and the combinations are very imaginative. There are a number of 5 star reviews online, so you know that it’s a great place to go for a special occasion.

These restaurants are just a handful of the best in the UK. I definitely recommend visiting these if you’re in the area. Enjoy!
