Seattle for Foodies

If you’re a foodie and you plan to be in Seattle, you will not lack for places to go. In fact, the Emerald City offers a variety of festivals dedicated to those who enjoy great cuisine. The following are a few examples of the Seattle events food lovers can look forward to in 2018 and 2019.

Seattle Street Food Festival

Why restrict yourself to dining in restaurants this summer when you can take your love of delectable dishes to the streets? Check out the Seattle Street Food Festival on Saturday, 7-7-18 and Sunday, 7-8-18. Admission is free, and this event is open to the entire family. You may stroll along four city blocks in the South Lake Union neighborhood, and you can try an impressive assortment of options from booths and food trucks.

Bite of Seattle

If you aren’t able to attend the Street Food Festival, you’ll get another chance to dine in the fresh air at the Bite of Seattle from Friday, 7-20-18 through Sunday, 7-22-18. You may enjoy food from dozens of local restaurants and food trucks, and this is another event that offers free admission. You can sample specialty foods and artisanal cuisine, as well as a spectrum of ethnic culinary delights, such as menu items from Dancing Zorba (Mediterranean), Pho Cyclo Café (Vietnamese), and Ziegler’s Bratwurst Haus (German).

Trucktoberfest

Don’t miss Trucktoberfest in its new location at Magnuson Park Hanger 30. You may catch this festival Friday, 8-31-18 and Saturday, 9-1-18. You can try the foods from 30 trucks and drink your fill of craft beers, as well.

Seattle Wine & Food Experience 2019

Once you’ve reveled in the food festivals of 2018, do not fear that you won’t have more to look forward to in 2019. You can get started early in the New Year by attending the Seattle Wine & Food Experience 2019 in February of that year. The exact date is not yet confirmed, but this is an event worth waiting for, so look for the date online closer to February 2019. The event has been held in multiple locations in the past.

In addition to the many festivals devoted primarily to food, you will also find countless Seattle events at which the cuisine is still a main attraction. These events include BrasilFest on Sunday, 9-19-18 at Seattle Center, the Hawaiian Festival at Seattle Center on Sunday, 9-9-18, and the French Wine Festival on Friday, 11-16-18 (look for a location date online closer to November).

If sampling a variety of delicious foods is high on your list of pastimes, Seattle is the place to be in 2018 and beyond. The city is a hot destination for events that feature food, beer, wine, music, and good times.
